Surgery

Surgery are intentionally created to shift our perceptions towards a new and experiment aesthetic concept of found objects, utilizing everyday materials such as food or fruits. The medium that the artist used is an interception of art, design, handicraft and artwork such as weaving, sewing, pitching and stuffing.
All these methods aim to change the traditional aesthetics concept to a new and different set of definition. The term “aesthetic” is not limited to the nature of beauty only but also to the sense of newness, ugliness or other possible forms of appreciation. The purpose of this re-interpretation is to question the “image” we all have to an object or material. It’s not a symbol to clarify a concept or adjust the function of any particular objects. Surgery is therefore an exprimental work that leads to no concrete expectation.
In the end, each work has their own connection to individual’s memories and exprience which, in turn, determines the audience’s sense of appreciation.
